I would like to provide discounts to some of my agents. How can I get this done?

Discounts are setup per agent. When entering a new product, you need to set the base price, this price will also be the price used for direct bookings. To give a certain discount, navigate to "Agents", select the agent you would like to give a discount to and set the discount. Discounts can either a percentage of the base price or a fixed amount.

 

Can I restrict agent access to certain travel products?

Yes. Each agent can either be granted or denied access to specific itineraries.

 

Is it possible to create several user accounts for my agents?

Yes, you're allowed to create an unlimited amount of user accounts for your agents.

 

When I adjust the billing cycle for an agent, how does this affect bookings that already have been made?

Bookings are placed on an invoice at the moment they're created, adjusting the billing cycle does not affect these bookings: they remain on the same invoice. Changes in the billing cycle only affect future bookings.

 

When I try to create an new agent account, I get an message saying that this agent already has an account with Holiday. What's going on?

When you get this message, this means the agent you're trying to create for is already working with one or more other suppliers on the Holiday network. This does not however affect your ability to work with this agent: you can still create an account for this agent.

 

When an invoice is send to my agents, what email addresses to they go to?

Every agent user account is based on their email address; whenever you create a new agent account, you need to specify their email address. At the same time, you will need to specify if this user will receive invoices or not.

 

When I change the discount for an agent, how does this affect bookings that already have been made but haven't been billed yet?

Final prices are being calculated when invoices are send out; a change in discount for a specific agent will affect all bookings that haven't been invoiced yet.

 

Is is possible to find out what other suppliers my agents are working with?

No, at the moment this information is considered private and is not made available to other suppliers on the Holiday network.

 

When I have created an new account for an agent, should I let this agent know about this?

Agents are automatically notified by email when a new account has been setup.

 

Are agents allowed to remove bookings from the system after they have been made?

Yes. Up until one month before a reservation date, agents are allowed to remove bookings from the system. Within one month before a reservation date, agents are not allowed to remove bookings or adjust the reservation date.
