Can we work with different currencies for different itineraries?

Yes, Holiday currently works with the following currencies:

  • € Euros
  • $ U.S. Dollars
  • £ British Pounds
  • ¥ Japanese Yen
  • ฿ Thai Baht
If you request any other currency, please contact us.

When working with multiple currencies, keep in mind that a problem arises when more then one currency appear on the same invoice. When agent has access to itineraries with different currencies, Holiday will notify the tour operator.



 

How do I export my itineraries

Simply navigate to "Itineraries" and click the "Download List" button.

 

Can I enter bookings myself? How do I do this?

Yes, you can. Simply navigate to "Itineraries" and click the small calendar icon for the product for which you would like to create a booking.

 

At the main travel page, it says either "Distributed" or "Not distributed". What does this mean?

"Distributed" means we allow search engines such as Google and Yahoo to index the page describing your itinerary, this means that, in time, people will be able to find your itineraries through those search engines. "Not distributed" means we don't allow the search engines to index your itinerary page.

 

I would like to provide discounts to some of my agents. How can I get this done?

Discounts are setup per agent. When entering a new itinerary, you need to set the base price, this price will also be the price used for direct bookings. To give a certain discount, navigate to "Agents", select the agent you would like to give a discount to and set the discount. Discounts can either a percentage of the base price or a fixed amount.

 

How do I add or remove dates after entering a itinerary?

Navigate to "Itineraries", select the product by clicking it's name. Next, click "2: Dates and Availability". Use the calendar to select dates and assign a number of available seats to those dates. To remove a date, leave the "seats" field empty or enter "0" into the "seats" field.

 

Why doesn't Holiday allow me to remove certain dates or adjust the availability for those dates?

Dates and availability can only be adjusted according to the number of bookings that are already present. If a date has 10 bookings assigned to it, you will not be able to remove this date or set the number of available seats below 10.

 

After telling Holiday not to distribute some of my itineraries, those itineraries are still listed in several search engines. Why is this?

When you choose to not distribute a certain itinerary after it has been distributed already, it will take time (up to several months) before the search engines remove the specific page from their index. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this. We suggest you make a balanced decision about distributing a itinerary before entering it into Holiday and allow search engines to index your itinerary page.
